Happy with the DLC

I have been away and haven’t seen much progress in the DLC department from Harmonix.  The Boston Pack was Ok but was not ultra recognizable to everyone.  The main thing I think we are all looking for is for songs that are enjoyable to play with a four piece band.  I understand you want ot focus on different instruments, but we want to rock at a party with songs that everyone wants to sing along too. Many people seem to be ok with the content because the game is cleaning house on song downloads.  We need to keep on plugging away at getting the right type of music into the game.

On an interesting side note, at karaoke night at one of the local establishments, they rolled out a PS3 with rock band to jam too.  I thought this was very cool that the game is becoming more main stream, and is not just for gamers at home.

Updates and Happenings

Now that the site is up and running I will constantly be updating all the news and information that I can gather in regards to the game.  Some interesting news has come out in the last few weeks.  Harmonix will be releasing separate drum kits in February and separate guitars for purchase in April.  Playstation 3 owners will finally be able to get a forth band member with extra guitars for 59.99.  I am not sure which makes me more angry, having to wait 5 months to have a full band, or shelling out another 60 bucks for the extra guitars.  Anyway, extra drum kits will sell for 79.99, who needs another set of drums anyway?

Last weeks DLC of Oasis was outstanding, but I feel they have missed the boat on some of the content that has been released so far.  However, someone must like it because I read that they had sold 2.5 million songs online to date.  I have not heard anything on the February DLC schedule but there was a release for the month of March at  www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3165773.

I feel with the right user feedback, and the noise that this website could create, we could finally get all the really good stuff that should be in the game.  So keep on making suggestions and keep telling your friends to make requests and vote for their favorites. And last but not least, keep on Rockin.

That is where we come in. RockBandMostWanted.com will provide a place for you to tell us what songs you would like to see in the Rock Band game. We will also keep updates and other announcements current here on the main page.

To start, just visit our forums and register for an account. From there, you can participate in the Rock Band chat and make your requests at the many different “request forums”. Each request will have a poll where you can vote yes/no on that song. If we can get thousands of people voting yes on a certain song, that should have some weight with the official Rock Band team and maybe we can get that song included!
